Dogs at Play with People

Playing_tuggie_with_Dad_02-20-2012Okay this is going to be another short post – busy these days helping dogs be well and educating others on canine naturopathy. But I wanted to share with you this cool dog cognition study on dogs and their humans playing together that is happening and possibly you and your dog can be a part of it. I wanted to be and even tried to get a video of my husband Donnie playing the with Meshach but apparently they only want dogs that are still alive 😦 I’ll edit that video one day soon and share it with you all here.

It was a game that Meshach played not only with us, but his Great Dane friend, Dahlia too!

Hopefully you will have some great videos of the games you and your dogs play together to allow you to participate in this study. Here is the information:

The Horowitz Dog Cognition Lab is run by Dr. Alexandra Horowitz, author of Inside of a dog: What dogs see, smell, and know. Our research group is based in New York City, and we study the behavior and cognition of companion dogs. Read more about us and our research at We are presently investigating play between dogs and people, and we need your help (well, you and your dog’s help)!

Here is the direct link for your own video submission:

That’s all for this week folks!

Have a pawsitively tail waggin’, NATUROPATHICALLY healthy day!
